Astrology Super Bowl preview

Once again it’s time for the big event that everyone looks forward to all year … the best 3 hours of TV Commercials you’ll see all season!! No, just kidding, it’s the Super Bowl. I’m sure everyone’s had their fill of pregame hype so I’ll try to keep this short.

Here are the hot spots for this game : Neptune has just entered Pisces ,Saturn turns retrograde at29 Libra on Feb. 6^th , Mars is now Retrograde at 22 Virgo, and Venus is at 27 Pisces. We’ll quickly look at what this means.

 Above is the chart for the Patriot , Mars in Virgo has been their friend and they’ve only lost once since Mars went into Virgo [ their last loss being to the Giants ] . However , Mars is now retrograde ¸this turns it’s energy inwards which is not what you want.

Above is the chart for the Giants , the main thing for the Giants this year has been Pluto in Capricorn.   Pluto is a planet of power but it can also be self undoing. Interesting enough Eli Manning and Hakeem Nicks for the Giants are both Capricorn’s and they have been able to focus their power. Pluto is also conjunct their Jupiter and opposite their natal Pluto. This would kill many teams but the Giants have been able to use the Pluto influence [ death , rebirth, regeneration ] to their benefit. Also Venus is conjunct Uranus in the Giants chart right now.

The main energy in Bill Belichek’s chart has been Uranus , the planet of surprise and excitement has figured prominently in his chart this year with his Venus and Mercury being conjunct Uranus at 8 Aries.

Tom Coughlin’s chart has been most affected by Saturn this year, this is learning from mistakes and overcoming hardships ,in particular all of the injuries they had early in the season. Saturn is conjunct Coughlin’s Jupiter giving him the ability to make wise decisions when things have gone bad.

Here is the chart for the game. Moon is at 22 Cancer to start game .The Moon is conjunct Pluto in the Giants chart and moving towards their Norh Node which is destiny. The Giants Pluto ends up in the 10^th house at games end. This could mean self destruction late in the game but the Giants have done so well with the Plutonian energy this year that the opposite meaning of coming to power appears to have a better chance of happening. Venus in late Pisces and Neptune just moving into Pisces favors the underdog which is the Giants.

 Saturn [ offense/ strategy ] starts out in the third house of Mental communication to start the game so I think the offenses will be very effective in this game.

     The Moon is exactly trine the Giants Uranus to start the game favoring excitement and the ability to adapt to change. Again ,Pluto could bite the Giants but they have done so well with the Plutonian energy that I expect them to create the defensive pressure needed to keep Brady in check .

     I like the Giants Pluto energy to outweigh it’s little brother Mars and the Giants pull this one out 30-27.

Neptune in Pisces

 Every year there are many times when a Planet changes Signs, some of Planets change Signs several times a year such as Venus and Mercury and the Sun. The outer Planets stay in a sign much longer so on the rare year when one of the outers switches signs it is noticed much more because of the slow transit time of the Planet. Most of the outer Planets have changed signs recently and we will have Saturn, which is kind of the bridge between the inner and outer Planets, moving into Scorpio in October. The only true Outer Planet changing Signs this year is Neptune which will be leaving Aquarius and moving into  Pisces on February 3^rd. This movement has additional weight because Neptune is the ruling Planet for Pisces, this is akin to a Sports team having Home Field Advantage in a game. Neptune is comfortable and at home in Pisces and is able to do its work without any adjustment needed.

Now we got a preview of what to expect from this last year when Neptune went into Pisces from April 4^th through August 11^th when Neptune was retrograde and went back into Aquarius for a last visit. Neptune went direct again on November 9^th last year and will move into Pisces for the next 14 years roughly on Feb. 3^rd at 2:03 p.m. est . One helpful thing to do is look at what was going on in your life from April through early August last year as kind of a sneak preview. Shortly we’ll look at what kind of things Neptune rules so you can see where it’s effects may have been felt.

 Neptune was discovered on September 23^rd, 1846 which is usually the last day of the sign of Virgo which is Pisces opposite oddly enough. So Neptune has now made a complete transit through the Zodiac and is now returning to the point where it was originally discovered so now the big question is what can we expect?

Well first of all we look at ruler ship, what does Neptune and Pisces rule? It rules water of all sorts, music, arts, dreams, intuition, psychic abilities, ocean life, secrets and hidden things, faith and spirituality. It also rules gases, the underdog , Anaesthesia , contagions and disease, mass delusions and  victimization as well as addiction.

Pisces and it’s opposite rules the Sadism [ Virgo ] masochism [ Pisces ] polarity as well as the analytical left brain [ Virgo ] and the visual , picture orientated right brain [ Pisces] .

The other part of seeing what is to come is looking at what happened in the past. The first year or so after Neptune was discovered there were several big jumps or inventions in Neptune / Piscean areas.

There was a Cholera [ Contagion / Disease ] outbreak in England , wide scale famine [ scarcity usually caused by being victimized by your Government  ]in Ireland, first rotary printing press [ right brain pictures ] patented , ether  [Anaesthesia /was used for the first time for a painless Dental procedure.

So, what can we expect ….and how do we deal with these things ? We can expect to see issues regarding Water purity and resources and of course we will also have our Tsunami’s and our infectious disease scares and terrorist “ threats” of all kind and other  fearful things that can come from Neptune insecurity.

On the flip side we can expect increased spirituality, getting better in touch with psychic energies ,being more intune with our emotions and feeling more empathetic towards the plight of others as Neptune is all about “ we are all one” and realizing that we are all droplets of water in the same ocean.

What else can we expect? Well Neptune is very foggy and it tends to blur the lines between things especially between reality and illusion. We will see things that seem incredible and things that don’t seem real in the media. We will have to listen to our intuition and the Piscean balance of Virgo to be able to discriminate between what is real and what is not.

The Asteroid Chiron is also in the sign of Pisces right now and it is traveling very closely with Neptune and it has to do with how we heal ourselves and how we deal with our emotional and psychic wounds. We are in a time where we can heal long enduring trauma’s and old pains that have been eating at us for a long time. This can be accomplished through the Neptunian lesson of learning faith and realizing that things happen for a reason and through using Chiron’s wisdom to find how to heal ourselves.

With Uranus traveling full speed through Aries we will at times feel that the train is speeding out of control with no one at the wheel or that we are driving very fast through a fog bank. Again we must be in tune with our intuition to keep our bearing straight.

This may be a very roller coasterish ride but if we can keep our spiritual focus and remember that it’s people that really matter we can come through this with an increased sense of community and help each other through this period.

Remember we are not physical beings going through a spiritual existence, we are spiritual entities evolving through a physical body. All of the things we see others going through , good or bad, is just another step in remembering who we are and why we are here.

Sports Astrology: Earth signs and the NFL Playoffs

The planet Jupiter stays in a sign for about one year at a time and for most of this past year it has been in the sign of Taurus. Jupiter usually has to do with luck as well as learning amongst other things. We all get Jupiter in the same sign as our sun one out of every 12 years. After looking at the charts of some players I decided to look at some of the Qb's that were born under the ign of Taurus to see how they did . The 2 starting qb's I found first were Cam Newton and Alex Smith . Cam was the no.1 pick in the NFL Draft but many were skeptical if he could translate that to the NFL level. Alex was the no.1 pick a few years back but had had a rocky NFL career to this point.

Cam plays for the Carolina Panthers who are in a rebuilding phase and only won a couple of games last year and weren't expected to do much. Surprisingly the Panthers improved from 2 wins to 6 and Newton will finish in the top 3 for certain in Rookie of the Year voting if he doesn't in fact win it.

Alex Smith had won and lost the starting QB job for San Francisco several times and many were surprised when they decided to bring him back for this season. Smith had his best season by leaps and bounds this year and led the 49ers tp the second best record in the league at 13-3.Coincidence ?

Also the 2 other Earth signs, Virgo and Capricorn, form favorable aspects to Taurus and with Pluto in the sign of  Capricorn this entire season and Mars in Virgo for the last few months of the season I wondered if there were any other Earth signs still hanging around in the playoffs.What I found is that the coaches of 3 of the 4 remaining teams in the playoffs are either Capricorn [ Jim Harbaugh] or Virgo [ John Harbaugh, Tom Coughlin ] and two of the other remaining starting QB's [ Joe Flacco, Eli Manning ] are Capricorn's  as well. 

The best Wide Reciever in the playoffs so far ..Hakeem Nicks [ Capricorn] . Most Recieving yards in the playoffs.Demaryius Thomas [ Caprisorn].The all time NFL regular season record for passing yards for a season was broken this year by Drew Brees [ Capricorn] . Leading Rusher in the Playoffs so far ..Arian Foster  [Virgo ].
Am I done yet?  nope.The NFL Playoff record for TD catches in a half of a playoff game was set last week by Rob Gronkowski ...Taurus.

Just a note of reference..there are 4 elements so you should only have 25% of the four remaining coaches or Quarterbacks be of the same element not %75 . But afte rall Astrology is just bunk ..right?

Sports Astrology NFL Playoffs pt.2

I went 2 and 2 last week missing the 2 AFC games and I got 2 requests for updated predictions for this weeks  games so I am actually posting the charts for game time of all 4 games [ give or take a minute ]. I’m still taking the 4 teams I had winning originally in this round to win still but I thought I’d give a little additional info to the games.

In Football Saturn is offense [ strategy ] and Uranus is Defense [ creating chaos ] so that’s some of what I’ll be using to predict the scores.

Above is the chart for the Saints- 49ers on Saturday. Venus recently into Pisces and Neptune conjunct in the 10^th house looks for a game that could favor the underdog but also look for deception , trickery or a mental lapse or error being important in the game. Near the end of the game Mercury  and  Pluto should be on the midheaven of the game chart and Uranus close to the ascendant so I would expect lots of excitement late. I would think that it will take some key strategy and leadership [ Capricorn] to take control of the game late. I expect the Saints to win but I think the 49ers will be in the game the whole way but the Saints are too powerful.  Gemini in the first House to start game , Gemini ruler Mercury is conjunct  Pluto I like that to favor the favored Saints.The Moon is conjunct the 49ers Neptune and the Saints Mercury I like those to favor the Saints decision making. I’m taking the Saints 31-19.

This is the second game Saturday . The fighting Tebow’s vs. the Patriots. Denver is the only team with a winning record vs. the Patriots since 2000. Strangely enough these 2 teams have the sane Birthday as they played each other in their initial games on September 9^th 1960 so it’s almost like the Broncos have an immunity to the Patriots wiley tricks. Pluto will be approaching the Descendant , Mars in the third and Uranus in the 9^th as the game ends. The teams charts are useless as they are exactly the same here. Mars is in first house as game starts I like that to favor Patriots as they are the favorite and the home team. Pats eventually  34-23.

Venus just recently into Pisces sits on the MC as the game starts as does Neptune. This features the underdog early. The Sun in Capricorn sits on the MC as the game ends . The Moon in Libra favors balance and a close game.North Node is in 7^th and it’s ruler is Jupiter is in 12^th that could mean trickery or lack of energy for Texans. The Moon is conjunct Ravens chiron and North Node and it is past the  Texans Libra Moon. I like the Texans to hang very tough but the Ravens come out the victor 24-16.

Uranus in the10th to start this game expect lots of excitement early. Moon still in Libra so I expect it to be a close back and fourth game . Mars is getting ready to make a station next week and is starting to slow down. The Giants will be a handful but the Moon has past the Giants Mars and transiting Mars is almost on top of the Packers Natal Mars. Packers 34-28.

Sports Astrology NFL Playoffs with Astrology

Greetings  friends , Sports fans and Astrology enthusiasts [ and alos those that are just bored surfing the web for insignificant blogs ] . Welcome to my second annual NFL Playoff prediction blog using Astrology and I promise limited commercial interruptions.

First a quick review of my predictions from the beginning of the season which you can find in the September archives on this very blog site. I correctly picked 6 teams records exactly and was within 1 game on 6 others. I correctly picked 5 of the 8 Division winners correctly and 7 of the 12 playoff teams correctly . Not great but over 50% and I‘ll put that up against the top prognosticator’s out there. 3 of the 4 teams I had making the conference championship games won 13 games or more and won their divisions. My big miss was Phillip Rivers being MVP and the San Diego Chargers actually being good, those Uranus transits can be tricky is all I can say there.

Okay enough excuses here’s my playoff predictions.

NFC

Wildcard round

[ 4] NY Giants over Atlanta – The Giants are hot , Mars is past the Virgo stellium in Atlanta’s chart and the Moon of the game chart is conjunct Pluto in the Giants chart ..they will be focused, powerful and will control the game..take the Giants here , Atlanta will not match their intensity.

[3] Saints over [6] Lions- The lions had a great season and finally made the Playoffs again but Drew Brees had a record breaking season. The Lions will put up a good fight in a very high scoring game but the Saints but Mars is applying to the Saints Pluto , Uranus , Sun triple conjunction here ,sorry Lions , just too powerful. The Lions chart looks great for next year so heads up Lions fans , you had a great season.

Divisional Playoffs

[3] Saints over [2] 49ers- The 49ers had a great season and shockingly won 13 games under new coach Jim Harbaugh . The bad news is Mars has passed the energy part in the 49ers chart. Too much offense by the Saints

[1] Packers over [4] Giants – The Moon is sitting on the Packers Mars , they will be hyped and full of energy here . Nice try Giants but the defending champs emotion will not be matched by the Giants on this day.

NFC CHAMPIONSHIP

[ 3] Saints over [1] Packers- This was the toughest of all to pick. I think these are the 2 best teams in the NFL and I picked the Packers to repeat at the beginning of the season. These teams met in the first game of the season and it was the best game of the year with the Packers stopping the Saints at the goal line on the last play of the game. The difference between these 2 teams is almost nothing. The Moon is in Capricorn at game time and that usually favors the visiting team as it allows them to neutralize the Home field advantage a bit. Both of these teams have the 3 transits needed to win it all. After seeing the teams play through the regular season I ‘m going back on my pick from the beginning of the season and I ‘m taking the Saints by the slimmest of margins, this is literally a toss up and the last team to have the ball will probably win but I ‘m taking the Saints in the slight upset here. Last year Saturn was a symbol of destiny in the Packers chart and represented limitations in the Saints chart, this year it’s reversed. Saturn giveth , and Saturn taketh away.

AFC

WILDCARD ROUND

[6] Bengals over  [3] Texans – Houston finally broke through and won their division and are making their first playoff appearance but have had a ton of injuries and are down to their rookie QB . The Bengals and Texans both have rookie QB’s playing but unfortunately for the Texans Mars is sitting right on the Bengals Pluto on this day. The Bengals will impose their will and win their first playoff game since1990,the Texans had a good season but their good transits are passed .

[5] Steelers over [4] Broncos – The fighting Tebow’s shocked people this year  but Tebow’s transits have cooled and the Pittsburgh Defense is just too good. The Moon in the game chart is applying to the Steelers Pluto and Jupiter is also conjunct Uranus in the Steelers natal chart. Too much energy , too much emotion and focus , Steel curtain wins this none.

Divisional Round

[1] Patriots over [6] Bengals – not the laugher you think. Both teams have good Mars transits on this day. This will be close , the Bengals will find enough holes in the Pats d to stay with them. I look for the Patriots in a very close game, the Bengals will stick with them the whole way. I would not rule out an upset but I ‘ll take the Pats in a very close one.

[2] Ravens over [5] Steelers – This is probably the best rivalry in the NFL right now, these guys hate each other. The Moon in the game chart here is just past the Moon in the chart for Pittsburgh and Jupiter is sitting on the Moon in the Ravens chart. I think the Ravens will have just a bit more intensity here, get a lucky bounce or 2 and beat the Steelers for the third time this year in a close , defensive battle.

AFC CHAMPIONSHIP

[2] Ravens over [1] Patriots – This is a tough one , but the Ravens have Pluto sitting on their Jupiter and their Nodes are activated by a square from Pluto and Uranus . The Ravens could self destruct  with too many turnovers here, but I don’t think so , no one on the AFC side can quite match their intensity. I pick the Ravens to win the AFC , Ray Rice has been too good this year.

SUPER BOWL

The Moon is applying to Mars in the Ravens chart here, that’s always a good aspect. Saturn is conjunct the South Node in the Saints chart at this time. They had a big aspect to their South Node 2 years ago also when they won their first Super Bowl. The Ravens will keep the Saints in check until late in the game here. Mars is still sitting right in the middle of the Saints Virgo stellium and it’s almost stationary concentrating that energy. I look for the Saints to win this one late in a close game.

If the Packers do defeat the Saints in the NFC Championship game I look for the Packers here in a close one also. I think the Ravens are just a notch below the 2 NFC teams offensively.

MLB Baseball playoffs and Astrology

Baseball and Astrology, the connection between the two .. spherical shapes?...who knows.

Anyway, this is my Playoff prediction and grading my preseason analysis back from April to see how I did . First, looking back , I picked the White Sox to win it all and they did not even make the playoff's and they just let go of their manager. Their Pluto transit turned out to be more death and destruction then having lots of power at the plate.Colorado Rockies...similar deal , their Jupiter transit ended up feeling a little too lazy and a little less lucky. I also had the Red Sox and Braves int he playoffs and up until the last day of the season and their monumental collapses they would have been. Arizona Diamondbacks..I didn't see that one coming , Saturn can be limitations but it can also see young players mature very quickly and I went the wrong way with that one. their young pitchers turned phenomenal quickly. If anyone had Ian Kennedy being the likely CY Young winner over any of the Phillies , Braves or Giants Pitchers than you are certainly a better prognosticator than I am.

 

So anyway I picked 2 of 6 Division winners correctly and 3 of the 8 playoff teams correctly. Below here I posted my season predictions for the teams that made the playoffs. If you look over to the right to the " archives" you can see what I predicted for all 32 teams at the beginning of the season.This is my first year attempting to use Astrology with Baseball so be nice !!!! It appears that Jupiter is the most influential planet in the charts of Baseball teams at this point..and Pluto bad.

 

AL EAST

2.N Y YANKEES [93-69] great tradition.. decent transits

4.TAMPA BAY [ 87-75] downswing, last year was their chance .

AL CENTRAL

2. DETROIT [ 90-72] on the upswing, could make playoff's this year but will be very dangerous in 2012

AL WEST

1. TEXAS [ 92-70 ] Pluto transiting their Jupiter ..lots of Power , lots of Home runs . Hard to defeat but may self destruct [ see Pluto transits ]

　

NL EAST

1. PHILADELPHIA [ 99-63 ] Perhaps best starting rotation ever. Will be very good this year , will be awesome in 2012

2. MILWAUKEE [ 90-72 ] on the upswing , still have some monkeys to get off of their back.

3. ST. LOUIS [ 86-76 ] slight downturn , still competitive and dangerous team ..but not scary anymore.

5. ARIZONA [ 60- 102 ] bad ..just plain bad

 

I've missed the beginning of then playoffs but most of the Series are still going so I'm going to make my projections for the rest of the way. The only Series that seems in doubt is the Tigers and Yankees which is ties 2-2 at this point with deciding game 5 tomorrow.

Funnily enough the Tigers and Yankees have almost exactly the same chart's being their first game was played just 1 day apart in 1901 so it will be splitting hairs on those 2. So here's my predictions for the remainder of the playoffs.

As of now, [2 seed ] Texas has already eliminated [4 seed ] Tampa , Milwaukee and Philadelphia lead 2-1 and Detroit and Yankees are ties 2-2.

 

AL

Divisional playoffs

The Tigers and Yankees have the 2 best transits happening right now of any of the teams and they happen to be in the same league and playing the the first round of the playoffs. Both teams have great Jupiter transits as transiting Jupiter are sitting on the Sun Venus conjunction in Taurus that both teams have in their charts. They both have the transiting South Node sitting on their Natal Pluto in Gemini and transiting North Node in Sag conjunct their Natal Uranus and both teams are having a Mars return happening right now highlighting their intensity and desire to win. Transiting Venus is approaching the natal North Nodes in both charts also. So essentially their is minute difference between the two teams charts except for the Moon.

One note though is that Jupiter is retrograde and the Tigers being one day older than the Yankees the planets in their chart are at just a hair lower degree than the Yankees , both teams played extremely well the last couple months so this is really splitting hairs but I'm taking the Tigers in an upset here. These teams transits are so good right now though that I 'm takign the winner of this series to win the whole thing. If Detroit doesn't pull out game 5 my second pick to win it all is the Yankees.

Texas has already advanced defeating Tampa Bay 3-1.

 

AL Championship Series

The Rangers have some nice transits as well. They have Transiting Uranus conjunct their Natal Mercury [ excitement ],transiting Saturn is conjunct their Natal Uranus transiting South Node is conjunct their Mars Venus conjunction. Transiting Retrograde Jupiter is approaching their Natal Sun as well.The biggest thing in their chart though is transiting Pluto is conjunct the Rangers Natal Jupiter . As I pointed out in my season preview this has brought them lots of power and intensity, but as we saw with the White Sox and others playing with Pluto for very long can be dangerous, I'm picking Pluto to self destruct the Rangers here and the Tigers to take this one and go on to the World Series.

　

NL

Divisional playoffs

right now the favored [ no. 1 seed ] Phillies, who had the best record in baseball during the regular season lead the [ no. 4] Cardinals 2 games to 1 and the [ 2] Brewers who finally broke their curse and won their division lead the surprising [3] Arizona Diamondbacks 2-1. I don't see the underdog coming back in either of these series.

 

NL Championship Series

The Phillies and the Brewers meet here, the Phiilies had the best record in Baseball with 102 wins, they have the best pitching staff in several decades at least and I picked them to make it to the World Series in my preseason predictions. The Phillies have transiting Uranus conjunct their Mars Venus conjunction in their Natal chart Jupiter conjunct their Sun/ South Node conjunction but it is waning.Transiting North Node is square their Uranus and Pluto is square their Natal Mars Venus conjunction. These are fairly good transits and they have been the best team in Baseball most of the season and they have been a lot of people's pick to win the Championship this year from day one and no one would blame you for betting on them.

That being said , the Brewers have been the least successful of the teams in the post season, their last [ and only ] World Series appearance was in 1982 where they lost . They have had great talent and always seem to choke and underachieve and I tend to be leery of picking a team that has a history of choking . That being said I saw their transits looked good from the beginning of the season and they appear to have " gotten the monkey off of their back ". So with the developments of this season I'm going to go out on a limb here , the brewers transits are just much better than the Phillies I'm going to take the Brewers to pull the major upset here.Jupiter is conjunct their Natal Venus, Mercury, Moon, Saturn conjunction. Venus is approaching their Natal Neptune , Jupiter is also activating their Natal Jupiter by opposition , they just have a lot of really good energy happening right now. The brain says Phillies but the chart is telling me Brewers .

　

WORLD SERIES

Okay, i've explained the transits here for the teams already so I'm taking the Tigers over the Brewers to win it all .

Heres my ranking of the remaining teams as far as most likely to win the World Series. The top 3 are very close.

Astrology preview of 2011 NFL season

  Greetings my Metaphysical Pigskin brethren !

 As you know by now I truly love the study of cycles and events and one of the best ways to subjectively study the results of planetary phenomena is through sporting events because they are played out in front of you and the results are highly visible and not open to interpretation.

 

Last year I picked the Green Bay Packers to win the Super Bowl before the season because of the transits they had happening to their chart throughout the season and especially the Super Bowl chart aspects to the team's chart. So this year I will look  at the transits for this year and see how they play to the charts of all 32  NFL teams and throw out my predictions for the season.

A little info first though, transits to the charts of sports teams do not play out the same as transit's to the chart of a person. In football you want lots of Squares, lots of Mars and Pluto activity, things that may not be too appealing to a human soul walking this earth but when you play a violent, aggressive game for a living you want that extra energy for your team to be able to make a run at the playoffs . The same deal with other planets as well , Jupiter trines are awesome for a person ..but maybe too relaxing for a Football team. Saturn, well Saturn is not usually fun for a person, but you do learn a lot. I 've found that Saturn ,Uranus  and Pluto transits to the chart of a team signal a change. When those big planets of learning lessons and change come along it often will signify a departure in the recent history of the team. If your team has been bad the last few years , Saturn may give you discipline, or experience points if you have a lot of young players that are starting to figure it out. A Saturn transit may give your previously bad team the wisdom to not make the same mistakes as before. By the same account if you're team has been really good the last few years Saturn may limit your team due to injuries , or lack of payroll freedom .Your run of good fortune may be limited by a difficult Saturn transit. The same with Pluto or Uranus making hard aspects to the teams chart , it can't really be said that either of those is good or bad it's just likely that you will see a reversal from the previous few years. So even though there is little doubt who has won a particular  game at the end , you have to see the entire road not just the spot your standing at now. Where has the team been , what changes are they making, have they set themselves up well for the future.

 

A note of interest is that I also look at the key degrees that we come upon throughout the season. I look at degrees that are crossed over or hovered around [ like an annoying co-worker ! ] or where there's an eclipse or a planetary station [ the planet essentially stops or slows down it's motion ] . I take these degrees and look to see if there's players whose charts have planets at this point. I did not look at all 5?? players in the NFL's charts but I did look at the sun signs near one of these points and found 3 players of interest that might be fun to watch this year to see how it plays out. One planet that is interesting to watch is the planet Uranus which rules Aquarius and is currently in the sign of Aries. Uranus rules chaos and unpredictability and excitement and sudden changes. If any of you are NBA fans you may remember in the playoffs last year Chris Bosh of the Miami Heat where he would score 30 points and have 20 rebounds one game and then the next game he would have 5 points and 8 rebounds and kept going all over the place like that. We'll he had Uranus crossing over his Sun during that period which can cause sporadic behavior . Well I happened to find 3 players of note this year that have this aspect for the whole season and it will intensify the second half of the season. So it may be fun to keep an eye on these 3 players and see how they react to this planetary influence. My guess is you will see 150 yards rushing and 3 touchdowns slightly over half the time  and about 50 yards and no td's the rest of the games. They will be so explosive some days they will not be able to be shut down because they will have so much energy and other days you won't even know they're on the field. Consistency will NOT be the word here.

The 3 players are :
        Adrian Peterson - Running Back-  Minnesota
        Ahmad Bradshaw- Running Back- N.Y, Giants
        Jonathan Stewart- Running Back- Carolina  [ Jonathan is not a starter but he gets a lot of playing time so he will still be easy to follow]

   It may be a little scary watching these 3 if you have them on your Fantasy Football team if you would like to see 2 of them at the same time Carolina plays the Giants on October 30th ...Happy Halloween from me to all of you !

 

One additional thing I think I've figured out from last year is the key to a great season is a 3 course meal if you will. The first course is the team needs a bit of luck or as they say ..the planets favorably aligned. Some kind of transit from Jupiter or Venus will fill this need.
 Second, is you will need lots and lots of energy , preferably negative energy or an element of chaos and destruction will do . Squares to or from your Mars and/or Pluto will work here for sure. If you are an underdog or a habitual underachiever Uranus or Saturn will help change your luck.
 Third, there needs to be a sense of destiny fulfilled or some kind of Karmic thing being worked out. Transits to or from the Nodes and /or Saturn is usually what to look for.
 

Also, some teams just have stronger charts than others . The Pittsburgh Steelers are good almost every year , they almost need something limiting them or physically stopping them [ see last year when Ben got suspended and they and some other injuries and still came back and made it to the Super Bowl ]. The Arizona Cardinals traditionally are weaker , they need a boost to their chart to get them into the upper echelon . So the point is that you can't always just look at transits as apples to apples and predict which will be the stronger of the two teams. If a team is traditionally good or bad there must be something to put a halt to that cycle or create a change therefore a Saturn transit can be good for a team that has been bad in recent history but it can be bad for a team that has been traditionally good.

Another thing that I think you will notice if you are a sports fan is that every year there are teams that look unbeatable for part of the season  and you are sure they are going to win the championship and that no one can beat them [ see Eagles, Colts, Chargers most years, Patriots a lot of years,]. Then there are some teams  that can't seem to get started until the season is halfway over [ see Chargers every season ]. The reason for this is because of how their chart is . Now most NFL teams have their Sun in Virgo , a few in Libra , a few elsewhere so almost all of them will have Mercury  in either Leo, Virgo, or Libra in almost every case, therefore those are fairly useless to look at because you are wanting to differentiate between the teams to see who is going to come out on top. What you will notice is that teams with Mars in Leo or a lot of other planets in Leo  will normally be  better early in the season, teams with a lot of Sagittarius in their chart or Mars in Sag will pick up later in the season as planets begin making aspects to those planets, they are being activated. Now this doesn't work every year as there are always anomalies and retrogrades and eclipses and the such but it is a good rule of thumb.
 

So anyway here's my predictions for the upcoming NFL season and I'm going to give a little more detail into the Astrological aspects happening this year. So good luck to your team and send your hate mail to MMETHENY1984@YAHOO.COM  if I picked your team to stink and they don't.

 OPEN TO INTERPRETATION [ These are teams that have a lot going on in their chart but it's hard to tell how their energies and actions are going to play out. They will be much better than expected or they will not play up to their projections . I used my football knowledge more on these teams ]

 PHILADELPHIA, BALTIMORE, PITTSBURGH, KANSAS CITY .

 

NFC
EAST
1. Philadelphia  11-5  Tough schedule early. Will look awesome at times. Their problem will be their Mars energy is highest right before the season starts. Must beware of ego's and injuries .

 

2. Dallas  11-5  Much improved from last year. More cohesive and fewer injuries and better defensively with Rob Ryan there. Unlike Philly , transits get better later in season ,will be a handful at playoff time.

 

3.  N.Y.  Giants 9-7  Must play well early as schedule is difficult 2nd half of season. Lots of injuries to start seaosn. Probably not enough to stay with Philly and Dallas.Must win 5 or 6 of first 7 games.

 

4. Washington 5-11  I don't think anyone knows what Mike Shanahan is doing..except congratulating himself for thinking he's smarter than everyone else. Sorry, not so Mike.
NORTH

 

1. Green Bay 13-3 Powerful transits, defending champs, can't have as many injuries as last year. They will be brutal and stand a great chance of repeating.

 

2. Chicago 9-7  Added some potential weapons on offense . Cutler should do well but early schedule is harsh must avoid bad start to stay in wildcard race.Favorable Mars transits later in season.

 

3. Detroit 7-9  Uranus square Saturn and Pluto conjunct Saturn , those are nice transits for a team trying to break several years of bad play. Me likey !

 

4. Minnesota 6-10  As I said in last year's predictions..the window of opportunity has passed.

 

SOUTH

 

1. New Orleans 12-4  Great transits, explosive offense .They have all the stuff to win it all.

 

2. Atlanta 11-5 Very strong again .Gained experience from last year. Unfortunately their great transits end the last week of Regular season.

 

3. Tampa Bay  78-9  Improving young team ,just not quite as good as last year's record.

 

4. Carolina 3-13 Rebuilding...nothing happening here. Lots of new coaches and players will take time for them to sort out.

 

WEST

 

1. St. Louis 9-7 Better again from last year, building solid team. Need to beware of injuries. First 7 games are brutal , need to win 2 or 3 of those then the last 9 games are much easier. Could win division with 7 or 8 wins but will be better than record suggests , will be tough in playoffs if they can get there.

 

2. San Francisco 7-9 Will be improved from last year , has some decent transits from Saturn. They still refuse to sign a starting QB which will limit them.

 

3. Arizona 6-10 Some people are picking them as the surprise winner in this division. Not me , lost too much , top RB injured . No great transits here.Try again next year.

 

4.Seattle 4-12  Last year will seem far away. Let go too many good players and have nothing at QB.Bad.

AFC

 

EAST
1. NEW ENGLAND 13-3 Filled lots of holes in off season. Very strong, will be very difficult to beat , have good enough transits they could get to Super Bowl.

 

2. NY JETS 12-4 Chart is nearly the same as New England's so it comes down to splitting hairs.Will be tough out in playoffs, the only team that can consistently beat Patriots.

 

3. Miami 6-10  No running backs , iffy QB. Will compete early but not enough energy here.

 

4 Buffalo 3-13  See above where I talked about transits being off. Will play hard but not much happening here. Fitzpatrick and Stevie Johnson will be fun to watch though.

 

NORTH

 

1. Baltimore 11-5 Nice transits, added some good offensive weapons in offseason. Will be neck and neck with Steelers most of way.

 

2. Pittsburgh 11-5 Will be tough as always , very intense early in season but I see them maybe losing a bit of steam late. And of course there's that Super Bowl runner up curse to deal with as well.

 

3. Cleveland 8-8  Great transits from Mars and Jupiter. Will be much improved .

 

4. Cincinnati 3-13  Made good financial moves in off season but needs to let young talent develope.

 

SOUTH

 

1. Houston 10-6 Yes, Yes this is the year for them. The only team in division with starting QB from last year back. Added some defensive help, nice Mars transits , unfortunately they kinda lose steam as playoffs start. Still they will get their first division title and playoff berth. For those that drafted Foster 1st in your Fantasy league..the transits to his Jupiter in Pisces are past, he won't get 1,600 yards this year.

 

2. Tennessee 7-9  Lots of player and coaching turnover. Not enough energy. Rebuilding.

 

3 .Indianapolis 6-10 See above where I mentioned Saturn. Saturn is making nasty transits to their chart and Saturn rules bones and the skeleton in medical Astrology..see Peyton Manning. Their run is over.

 

4.Jacksonville 6-10 Team may be in chaos with starting QB cut right before season. Defense will be improved. Will be better late in season.

 

 

WEST

 

1. San Diego  11-5 Hmmm, does anyone really trust these guys ? They always starts slow [ Uranus in late Leo] then play great late, then choke in playoffs.They do have Mars hitting their nodes late in the season this time though, will that be the difference...me thinks yes.

 

2. Kansas City  7-9  Down from last year. Weaker transits and tougher schedule.

 

3. Oakland 6-10 They were looking good last year but ket too many players get away. Good young talent but qb position too iffy. Will play decent early and late..not so much in the middle of season.

 

4. Denver 5-11  Will play well at times but too many holes here.  Keep rebuilding and we'll see you next year, be sure and tip your waitress on the way out.

 

NFL MVP
 PHILLIP RIVERS- SAN DIEGO

 The transits this guy has this year are FRIGHTENING . The only think that can stop him this time will be an injury or spontaneous combustion becasue he will be on fire.

 

PLAYOFFS

 

NFC

 There are good teams in the NFC and Philly could be a good sleper choice here but the Packers and Saints have such great transits and exposive offense's that they really are heads above the rest.

 

WILD CARD ROUND

ATLANTA over ST. LOUIS- this is close I almost took the Rams here.
DALLAS over PHILADELPHIA- This was a toss up as well. Don't be shocked if Philly wins both regular season games then Dallas wins the playoff rematch.These teams were very close.

 

DIVISIONAL
GREEN BAY over ATLANTA-sorry Atlanta, not this year.
NEW ORLEANS over DALLAS- Dallas will play valiently but just not enough to beat the Saints here.

 

NFC CHAMPIONSHIP

 GREEN BAY over NEW ORLEANS -I fretted over this one and changed it several times . They both have that destiny thing in their chart on top of all the other stuff. I think the Packers destiny may be just a tiny bit stronger than the Saints and they will porbably have homefiled advantage which may be the only difference between these two.

 

AFC

 Okay here's the conundrum ...one of the problems with sports teams charts is that when Pro league's expand they let in multiple teams at a time therefore you will have multiple teams with very similar charts thus making it hardder to find those dividing points between teams. My top 3 teams I like for the AFC are the Patriots, Chargers and Jets. They all started between September 9-11 th, 1960, virtually the same charts except for small differences. So this is where the Astrology wasn't as much help in finding differences between these three. Don't be shocked if it's the Jets or Patriots but Rivers chart was better than anyone elses for the big teams.

 

WILD CARD ROUND
NY JETS over HOUSTON -Nice season Texans
BALTIMORE over PITTSBURGH -Close call here but Super Bowl loser curse does in Steelers ...but their transits next year look nice from here so heads up Steeler nation.

 

DIVISIONAL
NEW ENGLAND over BALTIMORE-Just too much here, the Pats won't lose 4 consecutive playoff games.
SAN DIEGO over NY JETS - The Chargers will finally beat the Jets.

 

AFC CHAMPIONSHIP
 SAN DIEGO over NEW ENGLAND   - The curse shall be broken ....the tie breaker was Phillip Rivers has the best chart of anyone this year and he will carry them.
